The menus are constantly updated but the popular Turkish eggs have remained. The recipe is from Changa restaurant in Istanbul – 2 poached eggs with whipped yoghurt and hot chilli butter served with a slice of granary toast. The combination of runny egg yolk with the chilli and yogurt works a treat although it's a little on the rich side, so not for the light hearted. At only £6.20 it's reasonably priced but we would have appreciated an extra piece of toast, one just wasn't enough for two eggs and the mass of yoghurt.
Kopapa has one of the best fresh smoothie menus we've seen in a restaurant with a huge selection of combinations. We went for the non-dairy option of Mixed berry and apple after OD'ing on dairy with the eggs, yoghurt and butter. The coffee is also worth a mention as is service - the staff are attentive and friendly.
We give Kopapa a big thumbs up, in fact we'd like Turkish eggs for our breakfast every morning although we're not sure our waistlines would agree.
